Sorry your BPD friend in crisis made you feel icky. Sorry they’re in crisis so often. I’m sorry it’s sooooo burdensome to YOU. BPD is a disorder so severe there are places that recommend assisted suicide as the only treatment. Suck it up.

yes, if someone with bpd is reaching out to you for help mid-crisis then you can help them and even guide them to professional resources, but even then it’s extremely distressing to the non bpd person moments of crisis is traumatizing, even if you didn’t mean to

and bpd isn’t a “everything is fucked and this is the point of no return” kind of disorder. yes, it is painful. yes, it can be difficult to manage, but with proper treatment and therapy you can still live a fulfilling life. the hardest part is just taking that first step to help
