We found and fixed two issues that could explain this degradation of the capability of GPT-5.5 in Codex over the last ~ 48 hours.
We are monitoring over the coming hours to fully confirm and I will reset usage limits this evening.
Apologies and now is the time for /fast maxxing.

Imagine @shadcn without the dependency soup. 🥣
No more Embla, Vaul, Sonner, or React-resizable-panels. Just one headless engine powering every single component.
Ark UI support might be the biggest DX upgrade yet. Check the PR:

SOMEONE ACTUALLY MEASURED HOW MUCH DUMBER CLAUDE GOT. THE ANSWER IS 67%.
the data shows Opus 4.6 is thinking 67% less than it used to.
anthropic said nothing until the numbers went public. then suddenly Boris Cherny (creator of Claude Code) shows up on the GitHub issue.
users are calling it "AI shrinkflation" (same price, less intelligence)
we already know from the leaked source code that they have an internal switch that keeps the models working to their full extent for anthropic employees.
in the last week Claude went from WOW to being a more restricted and expensive version of ChatGPT.
people are saying Anthropic is deliberately downgrading Opus to save compute for training Mythos, their next model.

Claude told a user that PlanetScale had shut our service down. This is unsafe by any definition and Anthropic have made no effort to correct this situation.

i hate jira and sprint process of agile. those shits are jokes. now i’m free from planning, negotiating, etc. when i was actively maintaining ccusage, there was no todo list. just implemented what ppl wants, and it was soooo much productive process.
i’ve worked some sturtups and i can definitely say that if the managers start using jira or some issue trackers that is the signal of reducing productivity.
at one of them, i needed to write a proposal for some features and wait two weeks to start working on it. even tho it was a team of four. that was mess.
and another company required me to submit daily note(日報), that was so bad. writing note is not a task for human. just managers are too lazy not to summarise gituub activities.
i’m really really proud of being productive at rork. we ship everything so fast.

A small ship I love: We made Claude.ai and our desktop apps meaningful faster this week.
We moved our architecture from SSR to a static @vite_js & @tan_stack router setup that we can serve straight from workers at the edge. Time to first byte is down 65% at p75, prompts show up 50% sooner, navigation is snappier.
We're not done (not even close!) but we care and we'll keep chipping away. Aiming to make Claude a little better every day.

TanStack Router (and Start) are already way more performant when it comes to (re)rendering. But we decided to make them even faster and more fine-grained.
No breaking changes. No new API. Just patch and fly!

PSA: If you've been running out of Claude session quotas on Max tier, you're not alone. Read this.
Some insane Redditor reverse engineered the Claude binaries with MITM to find 2 bugs that could have caused cache-invalidation. Tokens that aren't cached are 10x-20x more expensive and are killing your quota.
If you're using your API keys with Claude this is even worse. This is also likely why this isn't uniform, while over 500 folks replied to me and said "me too", many (including me) didn't see this issue.
There are 2 issues that are compounded here (per Redditor, I haven't independently confirmed this) :
1s bug he found is a string replacement bug in bun that invalidates cache. Apparently this has to do with the custom @bunjavascript binary that ships with standalone Claude CLI.
The workaround there is to use Claude with `npx @anthropic-ai/claude-code`
2nd bug is worse, he claims that --resume always breaks cache. And there doesn't seem to be a workaround there, except pinning to a very old version (that will miss on tons of features)
This bug is also documented on Github and confirmed by other folks.
I won't entertain the conspiracy theories there that Anthropic "chooses" to ignore these bugs because it gets them more $$$, they are actively benefiting from everyone hitting as much cached tokens as possible, so this is absolutely a great find and it does align with my thoughts earlier.
The very sudden spike in reporting for this, the non-uniform nature (some folks are completely fine, some folks are hitting quotas after saying "hey") definitely points to a bug.
cc @trq212 @bcherny @_catwu for visibility in case this helps all of us.

As of today, Drizzle has become the most sustainablest ORM on Earth 🚀
PlanetScale hired entire Drizzle core team to work on Drizzle ORM full-time, which is just… WOW!
I mean, I can’t believe this is happening and how amazing this is going to be...
Let’s address the most important things:
▪︎ The governance of Drizzle does not and will not change
▪︎ Drizzle remains independent and open-source
▪︎ We will now work more full-timer on Drizzle ORM, Kit and Studio
▪︎ Our social media manager(me) will finally have a salary
▪︎ Drizzle v1 is going to be amazing
Thank you all for using Drizzle, without you there won’t be 1.2k GitHub issues and 355 PRs, we’d live a happy life, touching grass ❤️
