I live on the bluest block in a very liberal part of Chicago, and my neighbors, who still have a Biden/Kamala sign in their garage absolutely hate @GovPritzker.
I won't comment to the rest of the country, but this math ain't math-ing.
Ain't. No. Way.
🚨 BREAKING: Pritzker Flips Republican Stronghold for First Time in 174 Years
In a historic political shift, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has become the first Democrat to carry McHenry County in a gubernatorial election since 1852.
Long considered the most Republican of Chicago’s collar counties, McHenry County backed Pritzker over Republican Darren Bailey by more than 12,000 votes, according to unofficial election results.
If you're not following these guys, you're doing it wrong. Very well written.

On today's stock market crash:
As an investor, on days like today, you have to ask yourself one question: What fundamentally changed over the last 24 hours?
The shift in the fundamental backdrop cannot be attributed solely to the Midterm Election results; markets had already largely priced in the outcome.
So, what changed between yesterday and today? What is the fundamental reason for today's decline?
One of the most likely catalysts is growing concern about a potential "ban" on AI, or at the very least, severe regulation of the industry.
Over the last 24 hours, Democratic lawmakers have publicly called for restrictions on advanced AI development, including an outright "ban on artificial superintelligence."
Frankly, an outright ban will not happen.
Such a ban, if even possible to enforce, would effectively mean the US surrendering its position in the global AI race to China.
Does this mean AI is "over" or today's stock market crash marks "the end?" Absolutely not.
Rather, we believe we are witnessing a sudden shift in sentiment colliding with excessive levels of leverage, potentially triggering forced liquidations by several major institutional investors.
Therefore, today's downturn is more technical than fundamental. This is not to discount the concerns around regulation, they are legitimate. But price action right now does not look orderly or rational.
We are in the midst of the biggest technological revolution in human history.
Zoom out and remain calm.
Bought these all day today and will continue to add if I'm lucky enough to find change in my couch. $MU can start their share buyback in about a month. Memory demand doesn't care who controls Congress. Data centers will still get built, just in different States if necessary.
$DTREF - I have purchased the appeal filings from the both the @TheJusticeDept and @Dateline_DTR and am sharing them here. They were filed yesterday. This is so comprehensive, it's more than enough to get the whole thing tossed, not just a stay. All exhibits attached as well.

IN Illinois in 2024 2,449,079 people voted for President Trump
IN November 2022 Gov Pritzker won his election with 2,253,748
If all that Trump voters turn out tomorrow we have enough votes to replace the Governor
Flip Red Illinois
That's gonna require a shit ton of memory.

Macroharder and Minihard both have 220k GB300s with 800 gig nics configured for training. Gun Range will have the same. Spam (used to house Hormel products) will have ~200k GB300s, but configured for inference, so much simpler networking and less than half the fiber.
I walked the whole Colossus 2 site around midnight and again this morning.
Good progress by the SpaceX team and contractors. Gun Range is tracking to be operational by end of November and Spam in December.
🤣🤣....... riiiiiight
If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa
They're laying it on thick today 🤣🤣
BREAKING: Surface-to-air missile systems have reportedly been deployed near President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The deployment near Mar-a-Lago was reported by local media as early as Oct 23 as Secret Service-requested defensive measures against drones/low-flying aircraft amid routine airspace issues; it was not a new "breaking" event and no missiles were fired.

🚨 JUST IN: Kash Patel reveals 81 FRAUD SUSPECTS have been charged in Minnesota ALONE — 70 have ALREADY been convicted, and the fraud value is over HALF A BILLION dollars.
“We will put EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU in PRISON,” Patel said
"These communities will NO LONGER be ravaged by these fraudsters who come here to siphon away our precious dollars from our most needy, our senior citizens and our children."
$DTREF - as expected, Snyder denies the stay. This is what I was expecting, and what I assume Dateline was hoping for (which is why they didn't wait to file the appeal).
A stay would have allowed them to restart operations until the final hearing.... why would they spend millions of dollars to restart when they can wait a few weeks and get it dismissed/tossed entirely?
Granting the stay, which essentially means "pausing a temporary pause" isn't the result they are aiming for...... getting the case tossed by a higher court is the real win and they just fast tracked it.
