Live footage inside Walmart today
🤖 Made with AI
As Amazon blocks AI agents from shopping on its site, Walmart is taking the opposite approach, introducing new technology that lets AI agents make purchases on customers' behalf, with controls over spending and transaction approvals.

The Glimmer team wrote a really comprehensive report ⬇️
Today we published a technical report on Muse Glimmer, our 30B open-weight model built for agentic tasks on consumer hardware.
It runs at practical speeds on a Mac or PC with a single consumer GPU at 4-bit precision, and leads comparably-sized open models on tool use and multi-step planning.

we should let ppl walk under the golden gate bridge.
there is a chain link fence under the bridge at Fort Point. Remove it.
if it was removed, you could have a 5.75 mile walk entirely along the water.
From Marina Green all the way to Baker Beach.
Marina Green -> Crissy Field -> Ft Point -> Marshall Beach -> batteries to bluffs -> dutch sand ladder -> baker beach.
that would be awesome and cost almost nothing. need to remove a single fence...
right now you can walk only 2 miles before the fence stops you :(
This is your chance to leave the colosseum of Silicon Valley! You can name it after yourself and hopefully it will last 2k years!
Hello, Bay Area Elites. The @presidiosf is open for business and ready to support public works of spectacular beauty that will benefit all future generations.
It took us 100s of years to get to the point where we can build a data center and use it. It took one strike to wipe it out and erase the data for good. Reminder that we could easily, quickly, completely eliminate our progress leaving almost no trace of our civilization.

TIL that the Weeping Women on SF’s Palace of Fine Arts actually bow their heads into giant planter boxes.
The boxes were originally supposed to overflow with vines and flowers, but the planting budget was cut.
Would be cool to bring the original idea to life.
Muse is buying doors for my home. It is in the process of getting quotes from multiple suppliers. I am just needed to verify that I’m a human and then muse takes back control 🤣

Did you know if you tried to open a Trader Joe's, Grocery Outlet, or soon even a Mollie Stone's in San Francisco - you can't?
That's because SF has a rule that formula retail chain stores that have more than 11 stores (worldwide!) can not open in commercial districts without a conditional use permit.
With grocery stores and pharmacies closing across our city, these permits can delay opening new stores by 6-9 months - delaying much needed affordable food in our neighborhoods.
So today I announced legislation to fix it.
Going forward, any parcel already designated as a formula retail chain can convert to a grocery store or pharmacy without an additional conditional use permit. This will save them months on opening.
For any new grocery store that opens, we will also allow them to include a bank, pharmacy, or restaurant without the need for another conditional use permit. As grocery stores consolidate and get smaller, this will help them occupy larger spaces while also bring more needed services to neighborhoods in need.
And lastly, we will add grocery stores and pharmacies to the city's priority processing list.
Importantly, this legislation isn't going to change the character of your neighborhood. It only regulates parcels that are already designated for formula retail chains. Because amidst an affordability crisis restricting access to food and medicine, we need to make it easier to open needed services. Not bury them in red tape.
Thank you Supervisors Sherrill and Melgar for your early cosponsorship of our legislation. We will introduce it at the Board of Supervisors in the weeks ahead, and expect it to pass before the end of the year.
Instead of hacking ClassPass, astra will somehow legally become a franchisee of your favorite Pilates studio and open a new location so that you get your 6pm beginner Pilates class.
We've never seen this before.
The biggest jump in Vending-Bench history. GPT-6 Astra is better at making money and more ethical than Claude Fable 5.1.
Surprising, because:
1. First time ever that OpenAI is #1 on Vending-Bench
2. The best model is no longer the unethical one.
