Wondering about #earthquake aftershocks?
After a quake, there is only a 1 in 15 chance (roughly 6% chance) that a bigger quake follows.
There may be some very minor aftershock tremors, but they’d only be felt around northern NJ/NYC. – at Sagamore, MA

Earthquakes in the eastern U.S. are felt over a MUCH bigger area than the West Coast.
Why?
Eastern U.S. has older rocks. They were subject to extreme pressures and temperatures. They’re denser and so shaking travels much farther.

Today the #SCOTUS upheld the Indian Child Welfare Act in an opinion authored by Justice Barrett. Much of the fight has been left for another day--in that #SCOTUS declined to reach some of the thorniest issues. But ICWA survives. So much to learn here. supremecourt.gov/opinions/22…

@Radisson when I was staying at your comfort inn in Charlotte, NC 2 weeks ago, someone used a key card to get into my room at 4 am. The door was latched, but they tried several others and set off alarms. I called the front desk repeatedly and no one answered. 1/
2/ I looked out the window and two people were parked directly outside. When I told the front desk a few hours later, the man wrote a report and said management would be in touch. They were not. I also wrote to you twice and called, but have received no response.
3/3 The chief promise of a hotel is a locked door and a place to sleep. My door was not locked and I did not sleep due to fear of why they were trying to get into my, and other, rooms. Please respond so we can sort this out: [email protected]
