And that's a wrap! Thank you everyone who was a part of & who stopped by the Nikke Fan Concert !!! I'm so happy that despite the scuff, everything was finally able to come together 🥺❤️ It really means a lot to me.
NIKKE is a game that has been there for me in both the highest and lowest moments of my streaming career, and the game's come to mean a lot to me. I really wanted to make something where I could bring a bunch of other creators who love NIKKE together to celebrate our love for such an amazing game, and bring in some additional talented vocalists that can help bring their own touch to the game's incredible music. (Seriously, the entire OST is amazing.)
Thank you for humoring me all these years (week 1 player!) and I hope we can spend a lot more time together in the future!
I didn't catch up on everything I wanted to today but I caught up on SO MUCH and took an hour to record something just for fun for myself for the first time in as long as I can remember and it was nice 🔥
Regardless of how you feel about it, I think a lot of people misunderstand how live autotune even works.
It automatically snaps your voice closer to the closest note (on the scale if you set it to one, or in general otherwise.)
It can enhance already strong singers to a level of perfection that's not possible without it, however it does NOT fix bad notes or a bad singer unless you set up more complicated stuff like midi routing, which most people are definitely not doing (even if they use it live).
I wanted to try to explain what I mean with an example, so I sang a fast song where I'm frequently off pitch and set tuning to 100% (If you use it subtly, it's not going to make you sound robotic like this, but I wanted to exaggerate for the sake of the example. A LOT of my notes just snap completely wrong, and if it was subtle, they'd still be moving in the wrong direction. (Admittedly I'm still not sure if I set it up 100% correct but I hope it can show my point a bit regardless.)
Second example with no reverb, just EQ/gain to contrast! I still don't plan to use it and prefer listening to streams that don't because I love the human imperfections. BUT, it only works when there's a SOLID base to build on. If someone does choose to use it live and sounds great, it is NOT only because of the tuning
