Takže dobře. Uvidíme, jak to dopadne, ale:

Magnesium citrate protected the neurons Parkinson's destroys, and the effect got stronger with each dose in a Parkinson's model.
In Parkinson's, the brain's support cells overload movement neurons with cholesterol. That leads to toxic protein clumps and cell death.
Researchers treated animals for 24 weeks with 10, 50 or 100 mg/kg of magnesium citrate.
Brain cholesterol, toxic protein clumps and neuron loss all fell as the dose went up, and the animals moved more.
No human dose has been tested yet. @NatureNeuro
Stál jsem v hokejový bráně deset let a dalších pár let jsem to učil malý kluky.
Tahle minuta a půl vysvětluje kompletně všechno o tom, co člověk potřebuje (psychologicky) zvládnout k tomu, aby v tý brance byl dobrej.
A trochu myslim, že ne jenom v hokejový bráně...
Americký WIRED? Conquered.

1. CRISPR came from basic research on bacteria.
2. Optogenetics started with a discovery in algae.
3. The GFP protein comes from jellyfish.
The biggest breakthroughs all trace to scientists follow their curiosity. This is one huge reason why we must keep funding basic research!
BREAKING NEWS
The 2026 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel “for their discoveries concerning light-gated ion channels and optogenetics.”
A proto si jdeme dát kafe.
People who drank more coffee had less body fat, less visceral fat, and more lean mass than less-frequent or non-drinkers.
The biggest benefit was seen at 5 or more cups per day.
And for men, every extra cup per day was associated with a ~10 ng/dL higher total testosterone. Higher coffee intake was also associated with better glucose and insulin regulation in men.
This was an observational study, but mechanistic and experimental evidence actually supports coffee's benefits on metabolic and hormonal health. I'm willing to believe there's a real link here rather than draw a conclusion such as "coffee drinkers live healthier lives in general."
