This deck of cards has a bar code printed on the edge of each card. Scanning these bar codes would reveal where every card is (or isn't - if cards are missing.) Think card magic. 1/

Nobody warns about the hazards of reading at a young age. I’ll be mispronouncing words like “haphazard”, “melancholy”, and “hors d'oeuvres” for the rest of my life.

I recently learned something mindblowing about the geological history of the Mediterranean Sea, and I just can't get it out of my head. Now I'm going to make it *your* problem too. Sorry. Hang onto your hat. This is wild. 1/

It’s December 4th, 2016, and American chess Grandmaster Timur Gareyev is dozens of moves into a game against his human opponents. That's "opponents", plural. He's playing 48 people simultaneously, on 48 boards. But that's the least wild thing going on here... 🧵1/

Friendly reminder that you can see how many third-party sites FB is tracking you through, by going to: facebook.com/off_facebook_ac… You can not only delete the history, but turn it off moving forward. Goodbye to 1236 trackers (for me)...👋👋👋

I spent 20 hours shooting the leftmost star of Orion's belt. This is everything my camera revealed in that time. Space is a vibrant place, filled with colors and structures your eyes aren't sensitive enough to resolve. #astrophotography #space #opteam

PSA to all cyclists: DO NOT USE A LIGHT LIKE THIS! This is a bright 6Hz light that makes it almost impossible for anyone to see past you or judge your speed!

Tea in WW2 largely fell under the responsibility of Lord Woolton, as Minister for Food. As did all rationing. This was back when governments thought that hiring experts to run things in a crisis. Not the landlord of their favourite pub.

Every company with 30+ employees should have a CAO — a chief automation officer. Someone who’s sole job is to improve everyone else’s job. Their goal would be to improve others’ workflows w automation (code/no code), delegation (VAs), or elimination (remove unnecessary work).
