INSIDE THE BENOIT CASE FILES: THE MEDICATIONS & WHO PRESCRIBED THEM The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office documented these medications recovered from the Benoit home: CHRIS BENOIT Prescribed by Dr. Phil Astin: • Lorcet (hydrocodone), 10/650 mg • Xanax (alprazolam), 2 mg • Soma (carisoprodol), 350 mg • Zoloft (sertraline), 25 mg • Testosterone, 200 mg/mL: two boxes with Jones Pharmacy labels dated March 21 and May 9, 2007. NANCY BENOIT Prescribed by Dr. Phil Astin: • Lorcet, 10/650 mg: three prescriptions filled at CVS and Publix in Peachtree City. Two bottles were empty; one contained 82 pills. • Xanax, 2 mg: two bottles containing 81 and 16 pills. One also contained a hydrocodone pill. • Soma, 350 mg: four pills remained. • Naproxen, 500 mg: a full bottle. Nancy also had an empty Lunesta 3 mg bottle from a 2005 prescription by Dr. Youngblood of Texas. OTHER ITEMS DOCUMENTED • Cymbalta, 60 mg: empty bottle, prescribed by Dr. Astin. • Ambien, 10 mg: a 2004 prescription; the prescriber couldn’t be identified from the aged label. • “222” tablets containing acetylsalicylic acid, codeine phosphate and caffeine. • DHEA, amino acid, protein and ephedrine supplements. • Suspected human growth hormone and suspected marijuana.
