I find it lame how normalized the N-word has become in music and media, especially when it isn’t even used like that in everyday conversation. Why are y’all so comfortable repeating what colonizers used to degrade our people during centuries of oppression and genocide? Name one sentence that actually improves by adding that word. At some point, it sounds more like overcompensation. It’s never empowerment. We have our own identity, language, and culture. We don’t need to recycle dehumanization to express ourselves.
