Blake Griffin calls out NBA Insiders
"They know the rules, but they don't necessarily follow them if the rules get in the way. They're like the Jack Reacher of sports reporting... And if an insider gets a scoop wrong, what happens? Nothing. It's just on to the next scoop. It's a job with a huge profile and zero accountability — like a weatherman or a politician."

Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!"
Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point."
This post is not about cars :)

My once-beloved @SouthwestAir is now just a credit card company masquerading as an airline; the only “winners” with the changes to formerly generous Rapid Rewards program are very heavy SWA credit card spenders. Actual flying business travelers like me with around 40 mostly short-haul SWA flights per year absolutely lose under this new Rapid Rewards system. And loyal SWA customers reliant on new credit card bonus games and similar maneuvers to earn a Companion Pass are now dead in the water. The “enshitifaction” effect is real, and Elliott Investment Management has succeeded in making Southwest Airlines into nothing more than a second-rate wannabe legacy carrier. The last vestige of SWA’s value proposition is that, at least in some markets, it still operates out of more convenient in-town airports like Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby, and Chicago Midway. But those convenient airports are the only reason I can see to stick with Elliott Air.
RIP to the best deal in travel: Southwest is effectively gutting the Companion Pass - or the best way to earn it, anyway.
Starting Jan. 1, welcome bonuses on new credit cards no longer count toward earning unlimited BOGO flights.
You’ll have to fly Southwest, spend ($140K!) on a Southwest card a year, or some combination of the two.
End of an era.
Pretty sure I almost lost this account to scammers last night. Started getting notifications that someone was attempting to sign in to my account from another country, and after my account was locked when I was trying to change my password I went to Grok for help.

Here's why Real Estate prices aren't crashing
(some of you were hungover during Econ 101)
Between 1960 - 2000, the US averaged building 15.1M homes per decade
Then, the great RE recession of 2008 happened and building in the US came to a halt
We've only averaged 8.6M homes per decade since
That's a 43% REDUCTION in new housing
Meanwhile, the US population has grown an average of 25.4M people per decade
Basic SUPPLY & DEMAND
Population grows 25.4M per decade (demand)
+
New homes drops 43% per decade (supply)

Home Prices growing and staying high
