One thing I’ve noticed about Nigerians is that sometimes, we are our own biggest enemies. You’ll see people from Somalia, Eritrea, Pakistan, South Sudan, and Libya living across Europe and America, yet you rarely see them publicly humiliating their own passports or acting so recklessly for social media attention. You live in America or Europe, then come online to ridicule your Nigerian passport, forgetting that immigration officers and other officials may see these videos too. Then we wonder why Nigerians face stereotypes and extra scrutiny abroad. You can criticise the government and demand a better Country without turning your nationality into a joke. Some Nigerians seriously need to do better.
