With Sweetwater Valley's West Regional championship win, the possibility exists that the World Championship game at the Little League World Series could be between two leagues just 12 miles apart. Tijuana Municipal Little League is one of the top contenders in the International pool.

This is what makes the Chula Vista/Bonita baseball community so special. 🔥⚾️ Before the 2026 Sweetwater Valley team, 4 of the previous 12 San Diego County teams to reach the Little League World Series came from the South Bay’s District 42 area: • Park View — 2009 🏆
• Eastlake — 2013
• Sweetwater Valley — 2015
• Park View — 2016 Now add Sweetwater Valley 2026 to that list. 5 of the 13 San Diego County LLWS teams have come from this area. That’s why I’ll keep saying it: Chula Vista is the Mecca for baseball talent in San Diego County. 🌎⚾️🔥
