Brilliant! And sounding very sweet indeed.
Here's Chris Hinkins using his excellent minimal, compact, battery-powered setup that lets him play piano and 2-manual organ in a church with no electricity! Organ sounds via the 'Pipe Organ' iPad app, and 30% of every sale goes to @friendschurches

Having seen a *great* performance of this piece on Twitter today, I thought I would run a historic MIDI performance of it through Church Organ for Mac. 'Herr Jesu Christ dich zu uns wend' (BWV 655), performer unknown, via scpop.de

Also, many of these churches contain beautiful organs which also need expensive maintenance. Please help out if you can.
Brilliant, the pair of them.
Our very own @annagmhallett being let loose on the organ of @Ely_Cathedral after assisting at @annalapwood’s recording. Thanks for a great opportunity! @DioceseofEly @DioSalisbury @RSCMCentre
There’s a new beta of Player Organ on TestFlight, introducing the 16’ Trombone. Should be on the store in a day or so.
My personal theory that ANYTHING turned into a wavetable sounds like an organ pipe is turning out to be pretty solid. The synthetic Vox Humana sounds really, really human in certain registers. Synthesized in Logic, ES1 pulse wave, cutoff to tame the sizzle, into a channel EQ ...
Quick experiment - the Cornopean has been temporarily swapped out for the new Vox Humana - as the first chord on Vox Humana hits you, the sense of ‘human vocal tract’ is uncanny. It’s not singing, but it is a pretty sweet sound for half an hour’s playing with Channel EQ in Logic.
Pipe Organ for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch now refreshed in the App Store and contains a rather lovely new 16' Trombone in the pedal. Enjoy.
One more feature - build 32 has a new ‘share piston banks’ button, which makes it much easier to keep your piston presets synchronised between devices and computers.
This round of builds is complete, once feedback is collected and any issues resolved this will go on the store.
The 16' Trombone in the Pedal division is now integrated and tested in Pipe Organ (iOS) and Church Organ (Mac), but App Store Connect is closed for Christmas, so even Testflight users can't get to it for a few days. Think of it as a late stocking filler 😀
Today I dropped a reed into the pedal of Church Organ and Pipe Organ. It's a 16' Trombone, and it sounds *really* sweet - maybe not sweet, but ROBUST - but I need to ensure I can fit it in without affecting either the UI or the registrations of the existing repertoire / hymnal.
OK Pipe Organ and Church Organ users - it is a MISERABLE Christmas, and we need some cheer. So if you fancy capturing some Christmas carols as .hymn files, please do and send them to me so I can share them with the wider world.

Here is a video with audio captured direct from the headphone output of an iPad 2 running the latest beta of Pipe Organ. Play on big speakers - feel the pedals! A) yes, it sounds this good in real life B) yes, my home screen is a Roul Roul!!

The upcoming release of Pipe Organ for iOS will be the final release to support *really* old iOS versions and devices - meaning iOS 9.x (iPad 2, iPod Touch 5G, old iPad minis and iPhones). If you rely on Pipe Organ on an old device, LET ME KNOW and I will get you onto the beta.
