Pitching is an art in itself. I’ve learned that a large percentage of any job in animation is “selling” your ideas. Being able to clearly communicate your ideas both artistically AND verbally is something I wish I knew more about before getting into the game.

The only way to overcoming this is to take baby steps. To force myself to do things that may be uncomfortable. I found myself becoming more motivated to reach out to people. find myself valuing these experiences the most when it’s something outside my comfort zone ❤️

New values need new aesthetics. Stop designing POC characters to look like white characters with just a change of an eye shape, hue, hair and/or lips. There are so many forms of appeal to be inspired. It's a requirement of us to observe and finally be curious of everything*
