They pour Indians, Nepalis & Bangladeshis on here like we've more land than they do.
Majority of these people can't even read their own language forget English or any other language.
How a country become any better with more illiterate foreigners than its working population?
BanglaBros can arrive illegally & work illegally. But if caught, they can get "regularized." @ImmigrationMV seems to represent Bangladeshi interest than Maldives.
In an interview recently Homeland Security Minister said there over 50000 illegal expat workers. Immigration is

I remember, every time we bring Indian tourists to our resort, Westerners r so much afraid, talk about that: they are louder than Italians, they eat drunk everywhere, singing Hindi songs, dirtying the rooms, touching food on the buffet with bare hands, total Balaaverikameh for all

An expat tearing Maldivian currency is disrespectful, illegal, and totally unacceptable. Our money represents our national dignity and sovereignty actions like this undermine mutual respect and the laws of our host country.
Respect the law, respect the nation.. if not leave!

Bangladesh is concerned about the increase of Chinese while colonising every island in the Maldives with vloggers advising each other how to come illegally & live in the Maldives.
🚨 Reports of increased Chinese nationals in Uttara, Dhaka, are raising questions. Some flee when approached by journalists, while Chinese vloggers livestream Dhaka slums & falsely present them as Delhi, India. Even Chinese men marrying Bangladeshi women and taking them to China also deserve scrutiny.

Banglha, they offered us their well wishes,
while exporting the burden of their overpopulation to us.
AkA: They wished us well while making their overpopulation our problem.
Whether the law exists or not, how are expatriates fearlessly operating against the authorities, in this case the City Council? There is no way, I could travel to Bangladesh and be this free as a foreigner, operate an illegal business, harass women and face no consequence.
I went even today itself, around 9:58 to have a look and report again.
I have reported the issue to immigration and police service as well before. (Picture taken today morning)
We have passed a "aamu undhagulaa behey gavaaidhu" which hasn't existed at the city council until now,
And are waiting for LGA formalities and approval for gazetting it. Once that is done we can take more concrete action.
Even the last time I attended we fined the people doing so, but they keep on repeating the same.
Maldivians should stop "leasing their name" to register businesses which foreigners run and the local party gets a fixed fee for letting them do so.
This is something that everyone knows but is rarely spoken about.
too many have exploited this loophole which actually has accumulated way too many problems the last 15 odd years, now some of our industries have been taken over starting from island farms to the retail shops.
Coordination between relevant agencies need to happen to close this loop, MCC has been trying but our letters and requests remain unanswered.
PSA : if you're renting out a shop/godown or renting for any other business you need a permit from @MaleCitymv to apply to the economic ministry.

How are expats operating openly illegally, take over public streets, control parking, dictate traffic, damage citizens property without facing any consequences? Why is this tolerated? Clear the area immediately & protect citizens rights.Public streets belong to the public.@MMuizzu

They control how the traffic flow, where ppl can park, and which motorcycles should be parked where. This is supposedly my own island/country. Why are a bunch of illegals determining this? School kids and office workers are subjected to these ppls permission and traffic rules.

When it comes to Diplomacy, Bangladesh is one of the worst predatory nations. Nations like India and China though they have their agenda, constantly provide Maldives with financial lifelines, pharmaceuticals, technical know-how.
What does Bangladesh provide? "BanglaBros"

Concerning!
🇪🇸 tourist felt outraged, at men recording women in bikini specifically and got into an argument with one zooming into a girl’s butt.
This perverse invasive behavior is becoming too common.
Tarnishing the 🇲🇻 image and undermining its tourism reputation worldwide.
Filming tourists & locals without consent isn't innocent curiosity it’s an invasion of privacy and harassment. Why do they keep doing this? It’s invasive, wrong, and needs to be called out.

Maldivian hospitality was once our pride, built on etiquette, respect & strong moral values. Why is expecting expats to undergo a cultural orientation before entering our country considered a bad thing? Respecting our culture should be a basic requirement, not an unreasonable

Was out with kids and friends dressed up traditionally for an event. Expat worker started taking videos of the kids, when I went to ask about it, he ran away. Few mins later Italian tourists came and asked if they can take some photos, we said no. They said ok politely and left.

Google should probably be more mindful of who they hire.
My flatmate works at Google and brings home 1L cans of milk, fruits and God knows what else from the office.
It’s been three days since she returned from home, and she’s already managed to occupy the entire fridge.
Yes, Google lets you take food home. But that doesn’t mean basic civic sense and consideration for people you live with should go out the window. wtf google hire better people please or else people will look down at you.

Pervy BanglaBros are destroying the Maldivian tourism industry & the reputation. Empathizers are blind to this because these are done by few individuals. It just takes a few individuals to destroy or damage the reputation. Foreigners can't differentiate if these aee locals or not
