i was telling Chappell all the insane things boys have put me thru while we were writing the second verse, and she deadass went, “girl, you need to start dating women.” dangg, not me getting a whole dating intervention in the middle of a studio session. 😵‍💫

such an unexpected, full-circle kind of moment! huge shoutout to him for being so ridiculously cool and making the whole thing even more unforgettable. still not over it, sm. what a time to be alive!!!

and can we talk about David Byrne for a sec??? bc having him make a cameo was genuinely SO wild to me. i’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this actually happened. like, what do u mean DAVID BYRNE was part of this??? x___x

i’ve got BIG expectations. why wouldn’t i? i like dreaming big, wanting more, and getting excited over smth before it even happens. call it high hopes, call it being overly optimistic, but i’ve never been one to downplay what i want just to seem more laid-back.
