#Ottawa Condo Rents for Sept 2026
The rents for 1 and 2 bedroom didn't change much. The average 3 bed rent dropped to $2,660 from $3,267 - a large swing because of a few outliers. YTD: 3 bedroom condo rents are up 7.1%, while 1 bed & 2 bed are at -0.2% and -0.4% respectively. #

I decided a few months ago to stop following the news. Now when people say stuff to me like “Can you believe this bullshit?” I’m like “I don’t know and I don’t care.” It’s 100% free to not fucking care about whatever you’re supposed to be pissed about and the results are amazing.
Jessica is right about owing money. But would she apply it to tenants who steal rent? #
There are differences between the @Urbanation data and my data. I might be wrong but I think Urbanation data is asking rents while mine is actual rents. I hope to have the actual rents for units in MF building next month. @PringleJosh #ottnews

Someone needs a history lesson.

You can see how rents for 3 bedroom detached homes have slowly increased.
In 2019, 52.8% rented between $2,000 to $2,400.
In 2026, 10% rented between $2,000 to $2,400. It's like this price point has almost disappeared.

Hey @AlexLawsonOtt I read some of your housing platform. Not all leases signed in 2022 are rent controlled because of the November 15, 2018 RTA exemption.
What you are describing is one of the problems with rent controls. Has nothing to do with the city. #ottnews
"You can't manage what you don't measure." He didn't measure "renovictions" but voted yes for the bylaw. How can staff manage it then?
Lots of examples where his votes and actions on council contradict what he is saying publicly. You have to judge a politician by their record.
