"Do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish…"

Upgraded to ENSv2 and minted my card.
I'm a Surge Era holder.

Let's do ZK powered KYC. In my experience governments are open to it. If this can be shown to work with lower risk online transactions, eventually more relevant online platforms will adopt it.
100% and ENS can be the platform upon we build an ecosystem of identity solutions including DIDs and Verifiable Credentials. 😃👍

ENSv2 is approaching mainnet, and you might be wondering what that means for the .eth name you already own.
Will it still work? Do you need to upgrade straight away? Here’s what to know before launch.

I think the picture is even wider. ENSv2 strengthens what a name can do, across chains and the DNS alike. The convergence is coming. . .
ENSv2 Makes Ethereum Easier to Use and More Decentralized
.@ensdomains is a core piece of Ethereum infrastructure that replaces long wallet addresses with simple names like vitalik.eth, making crypto easier to use
Why does the ENSv2 proposal matter?
• Better usability: Makes Ethereum more accessible to everyday users by simplifying payments and digital identity
• Stronger infrastructure: Introduces a hierarchical naming system, giving users more control over subnames and permissions
• No forced migration: Existing .eth names keep working, with no migration deadline
• More decentralization: Transfers remaining ENSv2 control to the ENS DAO, strengthening community governance
• Built on Ethereum: ENSv2 is planned for Ethereum mainnet instead of a separate Namechain L2
The bigger picture: Ethereum needs more than scaling. It needs simple, reliable infrastructure that helps bring mainstream users on-chain. ENSv2 is a step toward that future
ZK powered identity is necessary to bring both institutional and retail adoption of DeFi at scale. There is great work by the teams at Iden3, ZK Passport, and the Open AC zk framework from the EF. The technology already exists, we just need policy and standards to emerge.
A scary thought from a recent interview with @hilbertspaess : the AI need not need be connected to external devices in order to wipe us out. It merely needs to chat with and deceive enough humans in order to accomplish a malicious objective.
Good to see this. We need responsible AI development. I like the idea of the companies that develop the frontier models to be treated like highly regulated entities.
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

Announcing the new SIWE.xyz
Sign in with Ethereum (ERC-4361) is the standard that powers the bridge between web2 and web3 for thousands of crypto (and non crypto) apps.
Our goal is to make sovereign cryptography a default option for authentication on the web.
We should own our finances, and we should own our web accounts. SIWE makes that possible, while ensuring users have great UX when doing so.
Already used by millions, including the likes of OpenRouter, Polymarket, MetaMask, Privy, OpenSea, and many many more.
The libraries we develop and support enable apps and wallets to seamlessly integrate the SIWE standard. If you have any questions or need help integrating, please reach out to any of us:
@caveman_onchain ([email protected]), @jalilwahdat ([email protected]), @yougogirl_eth ([email protected]).
Looking forward to working together on improving Ethereum UX.

Claiming an ENS name will get a lot simpler with ENSv2.
The ENS App Alpha is now live on Sepolia
Faster registration, stablecoin payments, notifications, chain and wallet abstraction, and a redesigned dashboard.
Try it → app.ens.dev/
Excited to see ENS engaging more with web standards organizations (ICANN, IETF, W3C). We need to work actively to bridge the Web2 and Web3 worlds. 🤝
I look forward to seeing the work of the evolved @ENSfndn 🚀🫶
Introducing the evolved ENS Foundation.
ENS tokenholders have approved and executed a proposal establishing the Foundation as a fully operational organization.
Here’s what changes, what stays the same, and how tokenholders remain in control. 🧵

Private communication is a precondition for a free society. Any measure that scans everyone's messages by default is mass surveillance, regardless of what it is built to find.
Chat Control 1 is back. Despite the European Parliament voting down the legislation twice this year, the Council of the European Union and parts of the Parliament today managed – through an urgent procedure – to extend it for another two years. The law was originally introduced as temporary legislation, so that its effectiveness could be evaluated. At the end of 2025, the European Commission itself concluded that it was not possible to determine whether the law had any measurable effect. Even so, it has now been pushed through.
Some of today's amendments could have stopped the law. And a majority of the voting MEPs wanted to do so. By a margin of 314-276, the Parliament voted to reject the proposal through these amendments. However, since it was an urgent procedure, 361 votes were required. As a result, the majority lost today and Chat Control 1 was passed. The urgent procedure was a dirty play by the Council and parts of the Parliament – it’s a procedure not meant to be used on legislation already rejected by the Parliament.
For now, Chat Control 1 will remain in effect. This means that tech companies may continue scanning communications without a warrant or suspicion.
However, the real battle is Chat Control 2. Unlike Chat Control 1, it would require all providers to scan communications, and to do so far more extensively than Chat Control 1 ever has.

Takes 1 minute to fact check it with AI.
The process was truly anti-democratic. And as EU citizen, it makes my blood boil.
But it doesn't break e2e encryption.
Whatsapp, Signal and TG encrypted chats are fine. This law does not break encryption.
What it re-enables is warrantless scanning of unencrypted messages: Instagram, Discord, Snapchat, Gmail and even (unecrypted) iCloud.
Don't use those! Personally, Im moving to Proton
We must ensure encryption is not outlawed but seeing where the EU is going, they might try it.
🇪🇺 Chat Control has passed 😔
They can and will now legally scan any person's messages, emails and photos you send without a warrant
The way they passed this law when the majority of the European Parliament was against it will shock you:
They waited until most EP members were on holiday so only a few were present and then created an "urgent" vote for it to pass it through
There's nothing democratic about any of it and big powerful forces are behind this that can manipulate the EU for whatever they want
Democracy in Europe died a bit today 😔
