Hot take? The DCU is being rushed. We’ve gotten 3 projects this year (Supergirl, Lanterns, Clayface) Neither movie broke the box office— and LANTERNS was a controversial nightmare. Gunn and Safran need to tighten the reigns a bit and slow everything down.

Disagree but there is a lot of toxicity around DC in general. There are so many “sub” labels. DCU fans, Gunnbots,Snyderbots to name a few. The box office is also the number 1 talked about thing instead of a project being good or bad. I’m so TIRED of reading the word breakeven.

For me, this will always be the movie that killed the DCEU. Had this film been successful, I think we still would have gotten the Ben Affleck Batman movie, Man Of Steel 2, Cyborg, Justice League 2&3, etc. The entire franchise fell apart because of this film.

That's my fear with mixed tones in the DCU. Creature Commandos, Peacemaker, Lanterns & Clayface are all not appropriate for kids at all. For a DC cinematic universe, alienating a massive chunk of your audience is so risky.

#Clayface Was a lazy disaster that only accomplished to revert DC deeper into unimportance. The Villian was soft-looking and bland as ever, the story lacked proper pacing and structure.
