"It's baffling to me, how...it is controversial or contentious or objectionable that someone suggests...do you know what maybe let's not play football against them.
Maybe instead of playing a match against them, maybe let's not play a match."

Famine has now been confirmed in Gaza.
Over half a million people are facing the most devastating form of hunger, warns @theIPCinfo.
An immediate ceasefire and unhindered humanitarian access is imperative to save lives.

Disappointing analysis on food price increases in today's Irish Times. Farmers are price takers and don't have the capacity to "push up their prices" as claimed. Also fails to say that the CCPC report also showed that Irish food price levels today are similar to 2008, 16 yrs ago

It's hard to put any other perspective on what's happening in Gaza
It's hard to believe the world is allowing this to happen.
What happened on Oct 7 was an evil act, but that's no justification

My wife Yara looked up at the torn ceiling of our tent and said to me:
"The world has forgotten us, Mohammed... No one asks anymore, no voices reach us."
I looked at her, then at our children sleeping beside us, and replied softly:
"No… the world hasn't forgotten. Maybe it's tired, maybe it's late, but there are still hearts that care."
She shook her head and asked:
"So there’s still hope?"
I said:
"As long as I’m breathing, I’ll keep writing, shouting, and speaking… until our voice is heard."
Then I picked up my phone…
And wrote this tweet:
"We are here… living despite hunger, dreaming under the bombs, and believing there are still hearts in this world beating for us."

Hurling appears to be a mix of UFC, rugby, hockey, football, baseball, the egg and spoon race all whilst hitting a snooker ball as hard as you can as high into the sky as possible towards goal with what looks like the bones of a tomahawk steak. 10/10. Would recommend #hurling
