One of the things I love most about getting older is my new ability to joyfully, unironically enjoy pop music

Spending Friday night home alone, cooking a tasty dinner, beer in hand, dancing around to Chappell Roan? Teenage me would not allow it.

For some reason this has thrown me like nothing else. Genuinely thought the poster must have done maths wrong, but no, I am just old,

I know there’s elections on, and the world’s on fire, and I’m quite late to the party, but: this book is very good, isn’t it? I could start it again tomorrow. (But you know of anything like it I could pick up instead I am open to recommendations!)

A thread about one of the many public sector scandals going under the radar.... The DfE "safety valves" for special educational needs. These were started in 2021 due to councils getting into deficit on school spending because demand for special needs support has risen so much.

REALLY pleased to see so many people using our tool to understand the movements of grads and other young people at a town level. (As someone who was in the earliest GCSE cohort included here, yes, I think 'young people' is definitely an appropriate descriptor!)
This is a REALLY good tool, that busts the myth that the biggest problem facing deprived areas is that there talented young people leave. Let's take the case of Hartlepool... 🧵
