When Israel was busy mourning the victims of October 7, the Palestinian Authority saw a golden opportunity: Distribute Pay-for-Slay without Israeli scrutiny.
We caught the PA red-handed distributing salaries to heirs of "Martyrs" alongside those of a "public employee."

Denying Judaism to the Jews: Ahead of the holiest day for Judaism, the top religious authority in the PA denies Jewish access not only to the Temple Mount, which is the holiest place for the Jews, but even to the Western Wall, where Jews have prayed since the destruction of the Temple for almost 2,000 years.
INCREDIBLE: Palestinian Authority again prioritized terrorists’ salaries over its employees’ salaries.
PA Elections Committee has just ruled that PA employees must give up their salaries to run for election, but PA terrorists can keep their terror salaries in prison (Pay-for-Slay) and can still run for election.
PA Elections Committee spokesman Fareed Taamallah:
“A PA employee who… receives his salary from the state… is required to resign from his position [to run in the elections]… This does not apply to individuals who receive allowances from the state … such as retirees, prisoners, the wounded (i.e., 2 terrorist categories), or recipients of social benefits.”

Once again, the PA confirms 2 things:
1. The PA still uses Pay-for-Slay to pay salaries to terrorists in prison.
2. Paying terrorists, because they murdered or tried to murder Israelis, is a higher priority for the PA than paying employed Palestinians who work for a living.

"What the US is asking for regarding stopping the payment of salaries to (i.e., terrorist) prisoners… we, as Palestinians, do not accept... We did not stop the payment of salaries… We, the Palestinian leadership, are holding discussions. It is very exhausting for us, here in the Gaza Strip, because there are Martyrs, wounded, and prisoners, and their number is large. The discussion always revolves around the method of paying the salaries. Sometimes there is something called power of attorney, where a person from Gaza authorizes a person from the West Bank to receive his salary from the institutions… and then the salary is transferred. It is a complicated matter [making] the salaries reach the families of the Martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners, and sometimes the salaries do not arrive… This whole matter was determined by the US and Israel so that the salaries would not reach our Martyrs – the families of our Martyrs – our wounded and our prisoners. The situation is really difficult."

4/ The next day (Friday, July 24), another Palestinian terror attack took place.
A Palestinian seized the weapon of Havat Gilad emergency response member Benayahu Mellet and opened fire, killing Mellet and IDF Maj. Yuval Ezra.
This incident took place in Area B - which, according to the Oslo Accords, Israelis are permitted to enter.
5/ It is clear that the Palestinian Authority never intended for Oslo to lead to peace.
From the get-go, Yasser Arafat used it as a tool to bring about the destruction of Israel.
