“Just a minute.” Those were the last words of 11-year-old Lera.
Minutes later, a russian missile struck a shopping mall.
The next day, her DNA identified her among the 14 victims. Lera was killed alongside her friend Vlada.
That morning, on 9 August 2024, she was still alive. She was only 11.

The evacuation of an elderly woman from a dangerous area took two days. Due to the high activity of enemy FPV drones, moving along evacuation routes was extremely risky.
When servicemembers of the 93rd Brigade’s anti-aircraft artillery division reported the injured woman, the Alter Ego Ground Robotic Systems Battalion immediately joined the effort. The first priority was to stabilize her condition and then plan her safe transportation to a hospital.
As soon as evacuation became possible, a ground robotic system was dispatched on the mission, accompanied throughout by a military escort team monitoring the situation around it.
The evacuation involved all available personnel and resources. Despite the challenges, the mission was successful – the injured civilian woman was safely handed over to medical personnel.

За один день Юрій Глодан втратив дружину, тримісячну доньку та тещу. Згодом війна забрала й його життя.
23 квітня 2022 року російська ракета влучила в житловий будинок в Одесі. Унаслідок удару загинули дружина Юрія Валерія, їхня маленька донька Кіра та теща Людмила.
Після цієї трагедії Юрій вирішив стати на захист України. Він служив в «Азові», а згодом — у 3-й окремій штурмовій бригаді.
Згодом він загинув на фронті.
Це історія родини, у якої війна забрала все: матір, батька, дитину, спільне майбутнє та можливість бути разом. За кожним із цих імен — окреме життя, любов і мрії, які так і не здійснилися.
На знак пам’яті про родину в Одесі колишню вулицю Ільфа і Петрова перейменували на вулицю Сім’ї Глодан.
Юрій, Валерія, маленька Кіра та Людмила заслуговують бути не просто іменами в історії війни. Їх потрібно пам’ятати.
Світла пам’ять усій родині Глодан.

The attack on Komyshuvakha was one of the deadliest strikes on civilians in Ukraine this year.

This video is almost impossible to watch without your heart breaking . It’s the final seconds of people’s lives who were desperately seeking shelter from another barbaric russian attack. I feel grief and anger that this isn’t the top news story on every platform . The world mustn’t look away. We need to see what Ukraine endures every single day . These were people, not statistics. In this attack alone at least 47 Ukrainians were brutally murdered by russia and 33 are still considered missing. The search and rescue efforts continue.
