Happy to announce that we’ve made deals worth $47B (on paper) to bring our clean, maple syrup moderated technology to market. Exact terms and customers to be revealed at a later date (but as you can imagine, mostly in Canada). xitter.cf/paperreactors/status/9…

Build nuclear. This isn’t hard!
A lot of focus on high oil and gas prices, but sky-high short-term electricity are a major problem for the European manufacturing sector. Energy-intensive companies will curtail output. Europe faces an oil and gas crisis, but also **an electricity crisis** bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Adm. Rickover wrote his "academic" vs "practical" reactors letter nearly 70 yrs ago, before the first commercial reactor. 18,000+ reactor years of civil nuclear experience later, and people still take the lesson from his letter that fission power is inherently impractical.

Interesting thread on how nuclear has self-actualized its own stagnation by teaching nuclear engineers early on that doing new things is hard & basically shouldn’t be pursued. Nuclear folks, let’s get out of our own way to do hard things to create a cleaner & more just world!

Curious what #nucleartwitter thinks about Admiral Rickover’s famous “academic reactors” vs “practical reactors” letter. You might imagine that I have quite a few thoughts myself, but wanted to survey folks first.

Free idea for infinite funding source: 1. Apply to ARPA-E for💰 to build digital twin of reactor 2. Train an ML algorithm to write FOA responses 3. Digital twin informs ML model of critical need-sets for the design 4. AI applies for funding automatically ... Profit #innovation

If this isn't the most impressive presentation of a paper reactor design, I'm not sure what is! #Open100 (if you know me, you know this is a high compliment) (if you don't know me, 👋 nice to meet you)
Launched today, #OPEN100 is the world’s first open-source blueprint for the design, construction, and financing of nuclear power plants. Here's why this will be a gamechanger for the #nuclear industry and for global efforts to address #ClimateChange: link.medium.com/WKdV3OsQm4

Breaking: The Paper Reactors editorial board has endorsed ALL reactors for our electric grid. In the 2020s, both the radical new advanced reactor designs, and the real existing fleet warrant serious support. #NuclearTwitter #EnergyTwitter

But the only way the industry ultimately succeeds is if many MANY reactors make this leap. You won't meet the world's energy needs, solve climate change, end world hunger, and create world peace with your design alone. (If this is news to you I'm sorry!)
