He frowns deeply, stepping further into the room. He’d known her long enough now to know something was up.
“Come on… talk to me about it.”
A simple routine escape to the mortal world to get some falafel has ended up with him collapsed under a tree.
How fun.
Magnus looks startled for a moment, before relaxing once again. It felt kind of nice to really talk about this, even if it was just for a moment.
“We’ll get there eventually. I’m pretty confident about that.”
His body visibly relaxes at that, having been so worried he was heading in a direction he did not want to go.
“I’ve been trying to be anyway.”
“I’ve never had a partner like this before, is all. I keep being so nervous that I’m going to ruin it somehow.” He rubs his palm over his face, nodding slowly
“Okay..”
“I’m… I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable or anything, I’m sorry.” He murmurs gently, swallowing as he looks down at him.
“It’s your choice entirely.”
“If you’re serious, I don’t mind if you stay here. Kinda like the idea of having your company for the night.” He admits softly, chewing on his lip in thought.
“I like to think of it as extended borrowing until you need it back.” He grins down at him, pressing a gentle kiss to his head. He’s more relaxed now, able to think clearly.
“Might just have to keep you tired for a while then so I don’t die, hm?”
“I did not! It was abandoned and I added it to my collection.” He laughs softly, shrugging his shoulders.
“Should be easy for you to find in my closet, if you’d like it back.”
“Ah, I may have seen a jacket belonging to my super amazing person laying around here..” He draws out, a cheeky grin coming to his lips.
“But I may not have. It’s anyone’s guess.”
“Eh, that was kinda all I had on that particular topic. Really I’m just rambling because I like talking to you.” He admits with a hum, content to stay there if that’s what he wanted.
“Although… you said you were looking for something when you came in here. What exactly was-
“Mm, you need some sleep.” He smiles, idly brushing a bit of Alex’s hair off of his forehead.
“I’ll be okay if you wanna go rest.”
“Remind me not to piss you off then..” He raises his brows in return, snickering softly.
“I’d prefer to die as little as possible, quite frankly.”
“Tell me about it. I always wonder if we’re one turkey leg away from a full on brawl at dinner every night.” He smiles quietly, just watching Alex for a moment.
“I mostly just… don’t wanna deal with Thor again.” He grimaces, shaking his head a little.
“Marvel failed me on that one, I’ll tell you that.”
He loops his arm around Alex, staring up at his ceiling for a moment. With all they’d been through together, he was almost certain it could never get worse. Almost.
“Hey at least we got through it, right?”
