I GOT HACKED 3 words that I never want to hear from my friends, and yet, time and again, I hear this. So today, I decided to ensure this doesn鈥檛 happen again. A thread 馃У

If you're just starting out building your product, and you're looking to setup A/B testing without even having a significant user base, you're wasting your time

Regularly conduct security audits. It's easy to miss vulnerabilities in your code and even obvious logical flaws. If you can't afford an audit, ask your friend, or do blackbox testing on your own code. Or hey, contact me or my team at @patrcloud as well. We'd be happy to help out
Get comfortable with #documentation. The more you document, the easier it is for you to communicate the inner workings of features to your team as well as get new people onboarded. There is no such thing as too much documentation.

Technical debt can take you a long way. Rather than succumbing to the urge of fixing your code at every other instance, you're better off if you set specific goals for it and fix it then. Focus more on improving your feature set and less on perfecting your code. #technicaldebt

If you're ever in a cash crunch, scale your code and not your infrastructure. Most of the time, your application is not being stressed to its maximum capacity, with a HUGE chunk of the time being spent either waiting for data or interpreting the code (looking at you, python).
