All the slogans, -isms and -ologies of our noblesse de robe (the credentialed, compliance classes) which serve to create and impose a moral user interface onto the world, the underlying source code is always anti-competence.

It’s funny when a persons eye is looking at their other eye.

If I ever wrote a thinly disguised novel about life among in a mid-upper class suburb, and what women would say about their husbands at the weekly Friday night private cocktail party for the "wives", you might become a misogynist. I almost became one myself.

If you want to find out what will get you cancelled just repeat the things women regularly tell each other out loud as a man.
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

I remember when people thought putting the “black fist” poster in their storefronts thought it would give them a some sort of looter Passover during BLM in NYC. Didn’t work. Turns out the looters didn’t care.

I always thought “Before and After” was the best category on “Jeopardy”

I like to say “punchable” with a French affectation. “Punch-AB-bles.” Also works for “Lunchable” when you’re having a charcuterie plate.
His ancestors died on the Marne, at Verdun, at Passchendaele and at Dunkirk for this.

Telling someone you are "Sorry" but continuing to do that thing you apologized for really means you're not sorry at all.

Before “Roseanne” John Goodman was best known for his locker room pep talk in “Revenge of the Nerds” where he laments the “jocks” just got their asses whupped by a buncha goddamned nerds and they should do something about it.
John Goodman turned down a cameo in Roseanne Barr's new TV show. 😬 tmz.com/2026/10/20/john-good…

The more I read about Abe Lincoln the more I realize he probably should have divorced his wife.

“The rich declare themselves poor And most of us are not sure If we have too much but we'll take our chances 'Cause God's stopped keeping score” — George Michael, “Praying For Time”
Just a few hours ago, President Trump said in the Oval Office that I should be tried in court because I dared to talk about the corruption coming out of the White House. If I've learned one thing from this past year, it's that you have to push back. I'm not going to be intimidated out of standing up for the rule of law and the country that has given me everything.

I like that “worship” and “warship” are homophones. This concludes my tweet.

If you don’t listen to your customers, they’ll stop listening to you. Too many brands turned their creditors into their real customers in the last two decades, creating products for audiences that just don’t exist.
When companies refuse to learn or listen to their customers--or worse, attempt to openly antagonize customers into buying shit they DON'T want, then getting enraged when the attempts inevitably fail--you end up with this. OUT OF BUSINESS. And it's ENTIRELY YOUR OWN FAULT.

The years of our Lord, 1984, 1985, and 1986 provided us with so many songs that featured “bouncy bass” and timely synth that we have not yet recaptured. Have we forgotten how to build it? Nostalgia, as Yogi Berra said, ain’t what it used to be. youtu.be/zpdQQoc-gkk?is=u6Hp…

Also Mozart’s 20th (the Romanze. 🤌🤌👌) keyed by Mitsuko Uchida, the maestro, far surpasses Bach.
I don’t agree about Bach — he’s kind of the Lou Gehrig of “classical” music (among the very best but not THE BEST) — however the Brandenburg Concertos (which somehow didn’t win in the open contest) are all time baroque bangers. youtu.be/Czsd13Mmcg0?is=giT5…
