Nothing is more Chicagoan than talking about where you went to high school.
As someone who can generally be pretty funny (or at least tries very hard to be so), I will note that if I am just standing around outside, I am probably daydreaming pretty heavily and it may just take me a second to realize that you spoke to me and what you said.

I don’t want “revenge”. I want the people who have been openly, gleefully destroying the country, and breaking the law throughout, to be held legally accountable and prosecuted, which is the bare minimum for maintaining a functioning democracy. Incidentally, I also want revenge
Dear Stacey Abrams,
This moment is dedicated to YOU.
Before Keisha Lance Bottoms made history as the first Black woman elected governor in America, you dared to show us that it was possible.
You ran when the road was uncertain. You stood tall when the outcome wasn’t what we’d hoped. And instead of allowing defeat to define your story, you continued the work of making sure our voices were heard.
Your courage, your grace, your commitment to voting rights, and your power to organize helped lay the groundwork for a Georgia that looks different today.
And while we celebrate this historic victory and the wave of change sweeping across the country, we cannot forget the women who helped make moments like this possible.
Stacey, we see you. We thank you. And we give you your flowers.
