Let’s look at some other numbers instead of what Eric is spinning. 💰 $11.2 BILLION in political ad spending and reservations this cycle, more than the entire 2024 presidential cycle. 💰 Republicans are outspending Democrats on the airwaves. In Senate races alone, it’s about $1.6 BILLION to $1.1 BILLION. 💰 More than $445 MILLION from Elon Musk to Republican groups this cycle. That’s before we count all the consultants, canvassers, printers, media companies and operatives cashing those checks. Economists point to AI investment and consumer spending as major drivers of growth. Meanwhile, Republicans are pouring billions into political advertising, trying to convince voters that everything is fine and their own policies aren’t the problem. And then there’s the Iran war. The Pentagon estimates its bill has reached $47.1 BILLION, with additional equipment replacement and other costs still ahead. The conflict is also driving up energy prices, adding to the pressure on household budgets. Let’s not forget the jobs report: just 29,000 jobs added in September, unemployment at 4.2%, and earlier job-growth estimates revised downward. July was revised to a loss of 10,000 jobs. Americans are furious about the cost of living, and Republicans are spending record sums trying to convince them everything is fine. So here’s the question: Who is this boom actually for? Ordinary Americans trying to make ends meet, or the people whose portfolios and payrolls depend on keeping Republicans in power? I’m looking at my grocery bill. A booming economy that isn’t producing jobs or keeping up with the cost of living? That’s a hell of a victory lap. 5 days…
