Why does school travel matter so much?
Four main reasons:
1. Humans form habits, which are hard to break. Kids walking / cycling and are much more likely to become adults who walk and cycle.
Wow. School Streets - which I had a hand in starting here in London - going big in Paris outside 168 schools.

Going back to England for a few days and decided to take the Eurostar instead of stressing at the airport. First leg of bike, bus, metro complete, now waiting for the train having passed security.
Fun bike lift. There is a conveyer belt in the groove which senses when your bike wheel is on it and starts to move. The sign reminds you to put your front brake on, and then up you go.
Went into the office yesterday 🚲 and decided to take a photo at every infrastructure change . We start off on a rural access road across the polder. Single track with passing places, 60kph limit although I can only do 25.
Another distributor road, this time with separate cycleways on either side and the main traffic lanes shared with the trams.
