I'll have more to say about the 4th Circuit's ruling in Chatrie, but I am grateful for the dissent's extensive citations to my work, and proud to be in the company of @paulohm and @SFreiwald among others
(h/t @OrinKerr)
Come to work with @alissacooper, tolerate having to work with me too! Looking for operations superstars.
Come work with me and colleagues @GUDigitalEthics and @GtownTechLaw! We are looking for a collaborative operations manager to work with our three centers.
For professors teaching and students studying AI Law, I've posted the syllabus and table of contents I used to teach the course @GeorgetownLaw last semester to the new website at aila.ws/posts/toc/.

Congrats to you and your team, Jonathan!
One question from the uninitiated: should we expect qualitatively better results than we've seen in other chatbots or for particular types of prompts, or is the advance more about speed/openness/non-evilness/something else?
MPT-30B is here! Same MPT architecture, 30B parameters, > 1T tokens, 8k context window, trained on H100s, great perf (esp on coding), single-GPU inference, commercially usable, and massively upgraded instruct and chat datasets. Take it for a spin! huggingface.co/spaces/mosaic…

So much credit for KGI is owed to Provost @RobertMGroves who was so invested and involved in every step in getting us to this day. High praise also to @ibarguen for believing in the potential for us to do important work together. georgetown.edu/news/georgeto…
I feel exactly the same about @johnsands @ashleyzohn and the rest of the amazing world-changers at @knightfdn This was a great example of each side making a great idea even better.

JOB! Come to @Georgetown to help Meg Jones and me create an innovative, interdisciplinary new course. Our students will work with nonprofits and government agencies to poke and prod technologies, trying to answer questions to help serve the common good. georgetown.wd1.myworkdayjobs…
We hope to hire asap. Ideally, our new fellow can start this summer. georgetown.wd1.myworkdayjobs…

Replying to @paulohm @Georgetown
Well so much for showing off our tech chops with this job launch! Apparently the URL above doesn't work right on mobile. Use georgetown.wd1.myworkdayjobs… instead!
It's a hybrid job. Some remote work is possible, but during the spring semester, a lot of in-person work is necessary.
We're grateful to @NewAmericaPIT and @FordFoundation for sponsoring this position!
