Idk why people are losing their shit at Ukraine and Bosnias votes.
Cuba voted no on recognizing the Bosnian genocide 2 years ago, and recognized the russian occupied Ukranian regions as part of Russia right at the start of the war.
Solidarity goes both ways
A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene.
Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

🗣️ "We're in the midst of a war. We must respect our opponents. Of course, you'll celebrate and have fun, but be careful with the posts you make on social media. Respect is more important."

There is a very simple path to peace: Russia accepts that Ukraine is a sovereign state, and withdraws its troops to its own territory.
“So why is Ukraine’s security treated as the only concern worth discussing, while Russia’s is dismissed outright?”
I have an idea
Ukraine can have its own military. Nobody is arguing otherwise. But Russia also has security concerns, and those concerns cannot simply be dismissed because they come from Moscow.
The issue is what happens when Ukraine’s military is increasingly integrated with NATO, an alliance Russia has opposed expanding towards its borders for decades.
So why is Ukraine’s security treated as the only concern worth discussing, while Russia’s is dismissed outright?

If you insist this award is about just the year, thats fine. But using this award to prop a player up when they havent warranted it is what gets on my nerves.

Once people stop treating the Ballon D’Or as a legacy award that makes or breaks a players career, the less upset they’ll be about the result of it and we can gradually stop acting like the opinions of a bunch of journalists as the be all end all.

There's been a lot of frustration lately in combat sports, but then you get Alexander Volkanovski.
To me, he's the closest thing we've ever had to GSP. The way he conducts himself, the way he fights, the way he's evolved, and the way he's never changed as a human being.
Three years ago, the vast majority of us thought he was done. He gets finished by Islam, comes back four months later and gets finished again. Nobody thought he'd be able to figure it all out.
Not only did he figure it out, he won the belt back, defended it, and just stopped the previously undefeated Movsar Evloev in the second round. All at 38.
I'm absolutely blown away by this guy.
He is everything we love about combat sports. The best fighting the best. A champion who does things the right way, who carries his country's flag with pride, honor and dignity.
We're gonna miss this guy so much when he's gone.
