Two Maryland EMAC teams continue to give us amazing results. Yesterday afternoon, these teams were able to return conventional filter four to operation. It had been offline for a year. This adds an additional (4) million gallons per day to the potential water output at OB Curtis.

What a difference at the conventional side of the O.B. Curtis Water Plant in Jackson! A “fall cleaning” by our hard-working EMAC crews increased filter efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in improved control and capacity for water production.

Today the staff of the O. B. Curtis water plant in Jackson, with the assistance of the City of Jackson Fire Department, rinsed out Sediment Basin 3 to prepare it to be brought back online. This is an important step, since these basins remove large solids before water filtration.
