Last year, I decided to learn more about acquisition entrepreneurship by getting some reps in. So I did–I bought/sold a SaaS business and 10xed my money in ~2 weeks of work. Here's what I learned from my accidental flip 👇🧵 (and props to @microacquire for making this doable!)

Starting to see more content businesses on @Flippa openly bragging about their use of AI. Have yet to see one doing solid revenue. Is generative content not quite there yet?

Are there any indie hackers building startups that they're aiming to sell once they get to a certain size? Feels like it's easiest the fastest way to earn six figures as an indie hacker.

Struggling to concentrate? Here's a simple fix: 1. Jot down everything on your mind. 2. Cross off anything you can't change. 3. Break the rest into the tiniest actionable steps. 4. Tackle them, one at a time. Simplicity is the key to focus.

Grab a pen and paper, head to your favorite cafe, and go tech-free for a bit. Let your mind wander over the issues at hand - a solution is closer than you think. Our biggest obstacle often? Distraction. Remember, you're sharper than you realize.

Every now and then, I run across a tool that feels like it should be illegal. Publisher Rocket is one of those tools. Dig into the performance of /every/ Amazon books category. Your advantage is so huge compared to all of the publishers that aren't using it. Feels so unfair.

I'm obsessed with Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) businesses. They're the closest thing to a passive side hustle there is. Create the product once. Let Amazon handle distribution. Easy! Let's take a peek inside one, thanks to this recent Flippa listing 👇

Would love to learn about any small publishers taking advantage of this model!

Building a startup is a journey of discovery, not just immediate profits. It's a game of probabilities. Acquiring a small, revenue-generating startup for < $25k significantly improves those probabilities. Maybe the best investment a startup-curious entrepreneur can make.

Content theft is the single biggest challenge facing creators today. It’s costing mid-sized creators (mid-six figure annual revenue) 5-10% of revenue. That’s huge for a bootstrapped biz. It’s astounding that the US hasn’t updated its draconian IP laws.

WordPress is long overdue for an experience like this. We need to stop making website admins victims of our politics. Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow all empower you to buy add-ons within the software. It's better for website owners and extension builders.
I saw this today and I'm wondering if any of you have seen something similar. Notice the Add-on Plan area.
