James Duthie: If [Pittsburgh] fall out of it, what happens?
Darren Dreger: You could see a bigger sell-off by Kyle Dubas; listening on players like Kris Letang, Erik Karlsson, Bryan Rust, and Rickard Rakell; Dubas is open for business - Insider Trading (10/22)
Just to clarify- The Penguins trying to trade veterans is not “new” nor is it the first time we’ve heard this.
There were a variety of reports they had Rakell and Rust on the market going back way into last year. It’s also not shocking given their future building.
Literally the same names, last summer. I don’t like the media hyperbole trying to rile up fans and interfere with the rebuild plan. thescore.com/nhl/news/355411…

Regarding the Evgeni Malkin contract, Kyle Dubas says players like him deserve a different level of respect. However, he has to do what is in the best interest of the Penguins. He has talked with Malkin and J.P. Barry. Won't comment further publicly.
Also, take heart, I doubt Crosby sits out that game if he seriously considered it his last Olympics. TBH, no way sits if he thought so.
He’ll be back for 2030.
Can we officially say Connor McDisappointment is nowhere near the leagues of Crosby?
It’s time for everyone to officially acknowledge & return Sid his full due.
McDavid is not the level of a great one. He’s hockeys biggest let down. He cannot perform on any big stage.

Silovs should get the bulk of the playing time just to find out what he is. We know what Jarry is.
