Making the right introductions has always been one of my favorite parts of what we do at PERMANENT.
Somewhere along the way it became obvious this deserved to be its own thing.

This is PLACEMENT.
For years, design hiring was part of what we did at @permanent.
We helped companies build their teams, met hundreds of brilliant designers, and made a lot of introductions that turned into something meaningful.
Along the way, we learned something pretty simple:
The best design hiring starts before there’s a job to fill. And it works best when people are actually known, not just “sourced”.
Eventually, it stopped making sense to keep that network inside PERMANENT.
So we made it its own thing.
Too many founders and designers who would be great together never cross paths.
PLACEMENT exists so they do.

Today, I'm incredibly excited to announce @withdefault's Series A led by @8vc and our new product.
We spent the last three years building the tools and orchestration layer companies like @owner and @AirbyteHQ have used to build infrastructure across their go-to-market functions.
Today, we're launching the first real-time data layer for go-to-market, a powerful new revenue agent, and a suite of tools for revenue teams and their agents.
It's Day 1.

I’ve been following @niclasernst since his Attio days in 2020. Two years ago, he (and @leonguaiana) helped me land my role at V7. One year ago, he launched Permanent.
Permanent isn’t just another design subscription studio. It lays the design foundations for the next generation of design-led startups, building not just products, but companies designers want to be part of.
At V7, I saw the shift that happens when design takes the lead. Brand, web, keynotes, product, all aligned. So when Niclas pitched me the studio’s vision, I was sold.
Excited to be working with incredible designers (and for the first time, I’m not the youngest in the company lol)
