🚨Scam Alert! 🚨 If you pay to register your pet with Petchip Network, it won’t help reunite if lost or stolen. As this “database” is not recognised for microchipped dogs or cats by @DefraGovUK, you can also be fined £500! Avoid. Please share to raise awareness 🐾 #PetTheftReform #MakeChipsCount

Their new search feature means you can now see all missing, stolen and reunited pets in a specific area. A first for the UK.

Fifth & final @HoCpetitions #PetTheftReform petition is stuck at 36,987 signatures.
Think the Government should recognise the emotional & welfare impacts this crime has on people & pets?

This is Bentley. He was stolen from his bed with five other cocker spaniels. Sadly Bentley died as thieves gouged out his microchip, leading to a brain infection 💔 So far no one charged & one dog remains missing. The law must change! PLEASE SIGN & RT 🐾 petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Still waiting for the decision from Defra! Ask any pet family and it’s a no brainer! Of course we want it to be compulsory for veterinarians, vet nurses or receptionists to cross check microchip registration at first treatment! We’d want our #stolen #pet back home #MakeChipsCount

We’re introducing mandatory #microchipping for pet #cats over 20 weeks old in England.
It means if they are ever lost or stolen, they can be more easily reunited with their owners.
