One of the topics that I teach in my class (and wrote about in Shtick to Business), is the concept of avoiding warm tea. Serve hot tea or iced tea. If you try to make everyone happy, you make no one happy. If you serve hot tea the hot tea crowed will be happy and the cold tea crowd will be unhappy--and you can still win.
The roadster is hot tea. Obviously.
My version of this: when I was in graduate school, the university gym outsourced the tvs to a media company that showed videos and played music, but also had frequent annoying commercials. I couldn't stand it.
So, I bought a universal remote at target and would turn the TVs off when I worked out.
Scholars get "scooped" all the time - this is a new way. I think it is premature to say that this has ruined careers. Math is as important to ever and who better to employ AI to solve bigger problems and harness downstream benefits than mathematicians and engineers.
