Note: If your organization buys "swag" (hats, shirts, mugs, folder, bags) for its employees, events, partners, etc. they can source it for you, at same cost, but in a way where your spend goes to support the fight against cancer.

What are the best ways to explore the Future of War?
Not what is the future of war, but rather how do nations and scholars try to project it?
That's the topic of Week 1 of our ASU School of Politics and Global Studies MA course on the Future of War.
Discussion Questions for the students (and you):
• What are some of the perils and pitfalls in thinking about the future of war? How can we do it better?
• What of the argued changes in the character of war do you find most important? What do you find least compelling or least novel?
• Could War ever really go "Out of Style?" as argue?

Posting this back up, because
1) I am super proud of this kid
2) I would love to see more DC organizations use the resource he built for them to get their logo gear and simultaneously help fight cancer, without having to spend more money
(instead of just 'talking the talk' --I am looking at you, thinktank world)

"I am excited to be the bearer of good news: AI is not going to start a nuclear war anytime soon. I do, however, also have bad news: AI is making it more likely that humans will start a nuclear war. And, if we want to avoid that outcome, we should focus on mitigating real risks, resisting incentives that steer us toward the tropes."
My latest article, for @ai_frontiers_ on how the incentives have skewed the discussion, diplomacy, and research to sci fi myths, to the detriment of the field and global security
