The website for my book redone with Opus 5.5. The initial version (made with Opus 4.8) required a lot of work to make a distinctive-looking static site. Now Opus mostly did this alone. We have come a long way from generic ClaudeDesign in a very short time. co-existence.ai/

My general advice for using AI for any purpose is to ask yourself: "how do I make what I am doing even more ambitious?" You do this until you either hit a wall and then you know the shape of the frontier (useful!) or you find out that the AI can do more than you think (common!)

Canaccord Genuity analyst George Gianarikas says those who viewed @Tesla’s Q3 earnings call negatively are “flatly wrong.” "The tea-leaf readers whispering about a 'subdued' tone on the call are flatly wrong, in our opinion. This was one of the most unapologetically bullish Tesla calls in many a moon. Think about it, on the call management said that: • EVs have their highest backlog in 4 years, with Musk adding that "...we are producing and delivering as many cars as we can...". • FSD attach rates surged to over 75% of new vehicle deliveries in North America (nearly a 20% QoQ increase), with active subscriptions reaching 1.74 million. Whoa. • High-volume manufacturing of Optimus is officially underway in Fremont, yielding the company’s first production-grade humanoid robots built on a standard assembly line. • Energy storage demand is "very strong" with Musk adding "We're actually almost sold out of all Megapacks for 2027, and we're ramping production as quickly as possible to meet demand. We also expect gross margins on that to increase meaningfully." • Not to mention recent launches of the Cybercab, Tesla Semi, and Roadster (with the latter unlikely to be needle-moving). Call us biased, but between that conference call commentary and shiny new product drops, Tesla appears to be dripping with growth potential. Count us in." George reiterated a $442 price target for $TSLA.

Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

The perfect storm is frontier models finding obscure security vulnerabilities at breakneck pace while voice models become indecipherable from human speech. When a model hits a roadblock, it will just spoof Caller ID as your bank and call you, pretending to be your banker.

The way to think about this is: How many super smart and dedicated people do you want to hire? And they keep getting better.
Zooming out, GPUs are still renting ahead of a standard 6-year depreciation schedule Rental price vs. schedule: - H200: +143% - B200: +111% - RTX PRO 6000: +73% - H100: +54% - A100: +9% Most of the gap opened up after April, when token demand took off Charts of the Week: a16z.news/p/charts-of-the-we…

This took just a couple minutes to generate with LTX 2.5 on my DGX Station.
Image gen, video gen, and voice gen are all good enough to be run locally.

I am okay with Kimi 3.1 deliberately leaving out top-end offensive cyber capabilities from their training data. Discriminating against use cases is MUCH less bad than discriminating against users. And the world does need all the time it can get to prepare, harden, check old code, (properly) formally verify new code, etc before the full weight of very powerful cyber attacks is upon us. And if this first big wave of AI risk is not handled well, then we may well get a dystopia of highly locked down models, KYC gating on everything, highly intrusive surveillance on everything, a society where you may be a second or third or fourth-class citizen in terms of model access based on your credentials and nationality.

The tinybox red flash gets faster! This is on GLM-5.3-Flash IQ4_XS with a single user at 262k context. Multi user decode is ~1000 tok/s aggregate. Running Terminal-Bench and DeepSWE now, looking good.

Do you understand how insane it is that OpenAI built an alternate digital universe to train GPT-7? This is how our child simulation starts.

Sam Altman says: "people talk a lot about recursive self-improvement for AI. There’s another loop: robots that build more robots, and data centers that build more data centers" As the models get smarter, they’ll help us design smarter and smarter chips. That’s another one of these loops

if you are not using AI in Oct 2026 to write your code you are literally wasting time, making it more vulnerable and slower
r/opensource just banned any project that uses AI. By their own rule, that means the biggest open source project of all time, Linux, is now banned too. The kernel already accepts AI-assisted code. This is the real AI psychosis.

Tesla is about to cross 1,000 autonomous vehicles registered in Texas alone
🚗 Tesla Robotaxi just registered 32 new 2026 Cybercabs with the Texas DMV — now 463 Cybercabs in its 970-vehicle TX fleet, with 43 registered in the last 24 hours. fsddb.com/robotaxi?operator=…

“I wish it didn’t exist” says a reporter talking about Tesla’s FSD. What a dumb thing to say about a technology that will make the roads safer for everyone.
COLUMN | The first and worst part of the week was being invited to sit in a Tesla Cybercab, a vehicle – I can’t call it a car – with no steering wheel and no pedals, painted in Trump Gold, which is likely to be running a Tesla Robotaxi service on Sydney’s streets by this time next year. Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tesla’s Cybercab is gold as a futuristic NYC yellow cab, per designer Franz von Holzhausen (2024). Musk called it a “golden era of transport,” with no Trump link. x.com/elonmusk/statu… teslamagz.com/tesla/robotaxi…

the mathematicians pushing back on AI say that it might help with proofs, but not our HUMAN UNDERSTANDING of math. so I got curious how chess players think AI engines help them better understand chess. and found this clip of Magnus Carlsen: “the neural nets have improved our understanding of the game immensely.” watch his HUMILITY towards these engines: “it’s just that my understanding is not good enough. And that is useful.” “I rarely play against engines at all because they just make me feel so stupid and useless.”
Wow, over 1,000 mathematicians have now joined the Association for Human Mathematics (AHM), committing to: > NOT publish AI generated math papers > NOT work with frontier labs > 654 of them went even further to NOT even use AI in their research, at all
