Hear, hear :
“Anyone running for president should take a cognitive test — lest we end up stuck with an idiot for years ”
Says who ? Why, 🍊Donnie himself, of course!
One can only suggest he take his own medicine — and reflect on the timeless adage: “Physician, heal thyself.”

Some old saws bear repeating.
Especially when the conduct persists, the questions go unanswered,
and Congress looks away.
Trump’s lavish praise for Putin over 🇷🇺diesel supplies is a timely reminder.
So is the name that refuses to go away: KRASNOV.
Is Congress willing to listen?
During Trump’s last visit to 🇫🇷, Macron, seated beside his American guest, is said to have let slip: “Mais doukipue donktant?”
(With apologies to Raymond Queneau, Zazie dans le Métro 1959).
Fortunately, Donnie’s limited grasp of the local patois averted a diplomatic incident.
Hey, Marco, before speaking rubbish...
Marco Rubio has announced that Europe may yet awaken from its long slumber and rekindle the fire lit here millennia ago. It is a remarkable thing to hear from the representative of a country that has just sailed past 40 trillion dollars in debt and now spends more on interest than on its own military.
One wonders what exactly we slept through. While dozing, Europeans somehow arranged to live several years longer than Americans, to see a doctor without remortgaging the house, and to take August off. Six of the seven happiest countries on earth are European, according to this year's World Happiness Report, and the United States is 23rd.
So thank you, Mr Secretary, for the wake-up call. If the generational shift you are hoping for means tariffs struck down in court, bond yields at their highest since 2007 and a government that insults its allies for sport, we would rather stay in bed.
