To all our incredible AFC Totton supporters,
I want to personally thank every one of you who got behind the team last night against Torquay United.
The passion, commitment and noise from the stands were fantastic, and once again you showed just how special this football club and its supporters are. Nights like these remind us that AFC Totton is about far more than what happens on the pitch, it’s about our people, our community, and the pride we all share in wearing the badge.
You were our 12th man, and your support gave the players that extra lift when they needed it most.
As Chairman, it makes me immensely proud to see our supporters standing shoulder to shoulder with the team, creating an atmosphere that everyone connected with the club can be proud of.
But we need you with us now more than ever.
We have ambitions for this football club, and we want to keep moving forward, building on what we have achieved and creating something our whole community can be proud of. To do that, we need your support, your voices and your presence in the stands.
I want to see the terraces packed, the ground buzzing, and our players running out knowing they have a whole town behind them. Every supporter makes a difference. Bring your family, bring your friends, encourage your workmates and help us get more people through the turnstiles. Whether you are a lifelong Stag or someone coming along for the first time, you are welcome here.
A strong, passionate crowd can make our home a difficult place for any visiting team. Let’s make every matchday an occasion, create an atmosphere that lifts our players, and show everyone what AFC Totton is all about.
We know that following a football club takes time, effort and sacrifice, and we never take that loyalty for granted. To everyone who travels home and away, buys a ticket, brings the next generation of supporters, or gives their time to the club, thank you! You are a vital part of this journey.

The majority of British pubs will not fall into the Chancellors Business rate reduction.
For me, this was a move to get headlines that they’re trying to save pubs.
Extra wage increase will be the final nail in the coffin for many struggling.

Mealymouthed Burnham said he was going to help pubs. Instead they’re increasing the minimum wage, business rates will still be higher than they were and now they’re taxing alcohol more.

Thank you @BradleyThomasUK for highlighting the extremely high tax burden on the hospitality sector.
For every £1 a hospitality businesses makes, 82p is paid in businesses taxes.
This tax burden is unfair and impacting the viability of high streets and the creation of new jobs.

So inept idiot John Healey is about to increase duty on a pint from 50p to 52p.
Why can’t he slap taxes on sweet shops, vape shops, Kurdish barbers, nail bars and tattoo parlours instead?
Not to mention those several, vast sweet shops on Oxford Street and across London.
They’re money laundering operations!

Without a huge reduction in Business Rates or a VAT cut in line with many of our European neighbours … hospitality will bleed out.
Energy costs are becoming insane again, as there is no cap on business contracts.
You could see 100s of thousands of job losses.

What people don't realise (and presumably @andyburnham @JohnHealey_MP), is that if the minimum wage does rise to £13.20 - that actually costs the employer somewhere between £16.90–£17 per hour. That's just not possible right now. Hospitality will be destroyed.
