Last summer one of my closest friends was murdered in her own home because people hear rhetoric like this, believe it, and act on it.

Donald Trump has been conducting a nightly tour of red states in which he tries to assemble increasingly shrinking crowds of his supporters so he can tell them about how much he likes men’s butts, and tonight was no different.
But even before he could get to the meat of the matter, he was disrupted not one, not twice, but THREE TIMES in the space of five minutes. One yelled “YOU WERE ON THE PLANE WITH EPSTEIN!” Two of them flipped him the bird.
These protesters were quickly and roughly removed, so Trump could get to his favorite subject: Jon Husted’s ass.
“I was about to say that I was examining that man for his physical prowess, and I got it. When he stood ,I looked at him, I looked him all over the place, and I should have never said what I said. But I said I started by looking at his ass and it was strong as hell,” said Trump just a few minutes later.
The protesters at Trump’s rapidly downsizing rallies – this one in Ohio is one of the smallest venues he’s ever spoken in – are increasing in number night by night, because they’ve figured out this is their moment.
If you’ve ever wanted to scream something at Donald Trump and make sure he hears and sees you, this is the time to do it. Go to a Trump rally. Call him a pedophile. Anyone can do it!
Every time he hears it, it bites him deeply on the inside, because he’s a narcissist and the most insecure man in the world.
Let’s keep yelling at him until he’s out of office…and then keep yelling at him until he’s in a jail cell.

Not surprised by the below as most member countries were unaware that von der Leyen was going to announce this.
I keep saying a Swiss style model is an option we should be putting on the table at the EU/UK negotiations.
FYI - also no such thing as a single market option. We would have to join EFTA then the EEA. And I know from past meeting that EFTA members aren't keen on us joining.

You’re actually illustrating the contradiction I’ve been talking about.
@JohnHealey_MP and @andyburnham have taken command of the Brexit Titanic after it hit the iceberg.
They now acknowledge that the Brexit we ended up with was harder than the one sold in 2016 and that it has damaged growth.
They appear to want to get the ship back to the Belfast shipyard for repairs.
But they’re trapped, for this Parliament, by Starmer’s manifesto red lines.
There are democratic ways out of that bind: seek a new mandate at a general election, or put a clearly defined proposition to the British people in a referendum.
Until then, government continues exercising the powers Brexit created, including some that take us further away from the European system it is simultaneously talking about moving closer to.
So your question is fair but it cuts both ways.
If Burnham keeps telling Britain that Brexit has damaged us while continuing policies that deepen divergence and decline, eventually the rhetoric becomes meaningless.
Listen to what he says about Brexit but watch to see if he ultimately changes direction.

🔥 Import tariffs cut on 100+ products in yesterday's Budget – using powers over tariffs that EU membership would remove.
🔥 Independent trade policy – Labour can negotiate trade deals without Brussels controlling the terms.
🔥 Precision breeding – Labour is implementing a regulatory framework that differs from EU rules.
🔥 Immigration – Labour can set its own rules for EU nationals rather than being bound by EU free movement.
So here's my question:
Why does Labour condemn Brexit while exploiting the very freedoms it gave Britain?
And if rejoining the EU is supposedly the answer, which of these powers is Labour prepared to surrender back to Brussels?
You cannot celebrate Brexit freedoms on Monday and campaign to surrender them on Tuesday!
