ALT Small Press Distribution wants the public to believe that they immediately “remedied” their staff-wide wage theft & illegal pay structure with an “internal audit” in January. This is false. The Executive Director and Finance Director continued to evade the serious, unanswered questions being raised by staff about their hours & pay. In February, the Executive Director, Brent Cunningham, had this to say to an hourly worker: “If employees want us to dig further into their specific OT or additional hours pay to see that everything was correct in their case we are happy to do it, but at this point the amounts at stake are so small we would like them to come to us and request the deeper dive since it is labor intensive and since we do not particularly suspect there are any errors there.”
