Our work on apical rotation and #LVThrombus following anterior myocardial infarction is now published in #EHJCVI
An important step towards understanding why thrombi form despite successful revascularisation.
More to come.

Important manuscript particularly cardiology sub-specialties that require procedural skillset 🎯
“Without immediate action, UK cardiology training risks facing a generational crisis of inadequately skilled consultants, which could compromise future patient care.”

The new curricula being introduced have led to concerns among many 🇬🇧 trainees. Particularly need to ensure ⏰ spent on GIM is ⚖️ against specialty training ⏰

Help in predicting who will need a PPM post TAVI?
Study (284 pts) in @JACCJournals suggests rapid atrial pacing whilst on the table post procedure to see if Wenckebach AVB develops.
No Wenckebach = extremely low likelihood of needing PPM (NPV=98.7%)

We need to see how many people missed out on offers due to this new system compared to how many people normally interview and then don’t get a place. Hoped @JRCPTB will be honest enough to publish this data.
