Good question
What’s the savings vehicle of choice now for. China household? Everyone knows about property, but stocks clearly haven’t worked well and gold - last year’s fav is in a bear market now. Cgb yields are on the floor.

Yeah clearly the US wants to ease tensions…🙄
QATAR MEDIATES IN IRAN AS U.S. SEEKS TO EASE TENSIONS Qatari mediators are in Tehran as part of a diplomatic effort coordinated with the United States to de-escalate regional tensions, Reuters reports. The initiative comes amid heightened concerns over renewed U.S.–Iran hostilities.

Always enjoy exploring the various nooks and crannies of resource markets with my friend and master tour guide @kevinmuir - thanks for having me on and apologize for the “prison holding cell-like” background as I’m in the midst of an extended travel stint.
This week @kevinmuir and @PatrickCeresna welcome to the show, Robert Mullen @MRAfunds Marathon Resource Advisors to discuss contrarian investing, portfolio hedging, long volatility, and why energy, copper, shipping, and other resource markets may be setting up for a major regime shift. youtu.be/pH6CR-5PclU

Word
"It’s a Marathon and a Sprint" “It’s a Marathon, not a Sprint” is an overused expression in Trading. In fact, Trading consists of both “Marathons” and “Sprints”... 🌳🙏 shrubstack.com/p/its-a-marat…

BYD's plant in Bahia Brazil plans to raise production capacity to 600k in 2027 & reach 50% local rate by early 2027 to be considered manufactured locally. From there, it can be exported to rest of Latam, including Argentina & Mexico, which would otherwise have tariffs on Chinese cars.

An underrated aspect of the Houthis joining this conflict is the sheer volume of Patriot/THAAD interceptors they soaked up in Saudi Arabia. It gives Iran a higher gear of escalation dominance moving forward. Missile math has always been the fulcrum of this war in my view and the war expanding to Yemen made it worse for the US/GCC.

To be fair to Gen Z they missed secular stagnation and have been eating above target inflation for 6yrs.. so we may all want $587K before 2040
I’ve been thinking about crazy Gen Z salary expectations. This was big a little while ago. In case you missed it — here’s what different generations consider a “successful income”:

BREAKING: Netanyahu says Iran has now restarted its nuclear program and intends to destroy Israel within a short time. "Iran has restarted its nuclear program, and it wants to destroy us within a short time," Netanyahu said an hour ago. IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has warned that resuming the war this close to Tuesday's election will force the vote to be postponed indefinitely. Netanyahu said on Wednesday that toppling the Iranian regime is now his directive to the IDF and Mossad.

29 months ago, Han Feizi wrote the article, “Cargo cult, Why America cannot have nice things”, after Biden put 100% tariffs on Chinese cars. We are seeing results today. Twitter is full of Tesla fanboys waxing idiotic about FSD (L2++ city NOA). Folks… it’s offered on three cars in the US: the Model 3, the Model Y and the Cybertruck. In China, over half a dozen self driving systems offer L2++ city NOA (navigation on autopilot) on +140 models from the $15,600 Aion N60 to $150,000 ultra luxury sedans to monster SUVs and everything in between. Tesla’s FSD has, so far, not been good enough to launch in Chinese traffic. The price discount of Chinese EVs vs US equivalents went from ~20-30% in 2022 to ~50-60% in 2026. Americans are not allowed to have nice things. asiatimes.com/2024/05/cargo-…

China has become a net exporter of Carbon Fiber. Huge turn of event vs 3/4 yrs ago. This is where China's investment went when Xi said Housing is for living, not for speculation. Investment in factories. Look, huge export increased to Russia & Ukraine. I wonder what's that for?

And it is by no means those who would consider themselves at the bottom of the “K”. Robespierre, Lenin and Castro were all failed as lawyers before turning to revolution.
