I haven't marked a student's book in over three years.
I haven't written a comment in a student's book in over three years.
I haven't taken students' books home with me in over three years.
In all that time, not a single student has complained. And I flipping love my school.
First day on #wordle. Pleased with that. Got lucky.

On @moodle forum posts, if I type the name of another activity in the course a hyperlink is created. How can I stop that happening?
Why can't we order @asda Little Angels wet wipes for delivery or collection in Bournemouth or Poole any more? Not marked as out of stock, just gone from website.
Great that this we get to attend as many sessions as we want. Thank you @LaSalleEd
A week ago we enjoyed the company of 3000 educators at #MathsConf23.
Now we are releasing the recordings so everyone can experience it.
Find out what the fuss was about, catch up on what you missed, recap a session, share inspiration with colleagues.

Replying to @TeacherTapp
@TeacherTapp I hadn’t heard about the call to withdraw from working as Ofsted inspectors until 3:30 yesterday when I answered your question. I didn’t know what it was about, and answered Strongly Disagree, reasoning that it’s better Ofsted have practicing teachers involved. 1/2
Just started looking through @mathsjem’s book - how did I not know this fact? I can’t recall seeing it before, in 14 years of teaching maths. Feels like it should have been obvious, but it wasn’t to me!
Replying to @BBCMoreOrLess
@BBCMoreOrLess Heard a interesting conversation on Radio 4’s Word of Mouth. A contributor claimed avg reading age is 9. @MichaelRosenYes queried it and it was repeated. Seen this stat elsewhere online too. Can that really be true? And what does a reading age of 9 mean? 1/2
Greatly enjoyed #SherlockHolmesEscapeBook from @AmmonitePress - some clever individual puzzles and lovely linking between them, underpinned by narrative that seems very Sherlock in style! Not so much a fan of searching for dancing men in illustrations, but good fun overall.
Did @eBay_UK just fob me off? I called customer service to complain about two of their online chat agents who 'helped' me yesterday as the first 'hung up' before I had time to answer his question and the second gave me wrong info. 1/n
Mat leave for teachers. maternity.money/teachers-mat… says "After taking some mat leave, when the summer hols start you could be 'at work' and fully paid throughout the hols. Then switch back to you being on parental leave when term time starts again." Anyone heard of this happening?

Our Christmas Day was filled with puzzles and word games :o) We solved Escape! The Mystery of the Music Shop by @pingleby, played many rounds of Letter Jam, confused our parents with puzzles from the Enigma, and flipped frogs into glasses :o) – at Perton, England
My escape room inspired puzzle book “Escape! The Mystery of the Music Shop” has now sold over 100 copies on Amazon amazon.co.uk/Escape-Mystery-… and I’m trying to break my addiction to checking how many sell every day!

One of my favourite @tombennett71 quotes from this brilliant post: behaviourguru.blogspot.com/2…
Sharing this with Subject Leaders this PM, when I exhort them to teach as well as they can so our students make as much progress as they possibly can, & not to get hung up on data targets.
