Worksheets are boring. So I built my kindergartener a touchscreen learning device instead. ESP32 + 4" display + 9 educational apps. 320KB RAM total — the display alone needs 307KB for one frame. Every byte counts. Cost: $20-25.

Just saw this performance mistake in a React code review.
Problem: If you invoke a function in useState's default, it's called on every render. (Not React's fault - that's how JS works).
Solution: Specify a function reference instead. Then React only invokes the function once.

I gotta agree with @t3dotgg pre-commit hooks kill DX. I just started helping a team to build a POC and my first commit took a white to process and then it failed just because they added a hook to check Prettier formatting 🤦♂️ isn’t it better to just format on save and run the check on CI?
