COMO EJERCER DE MÉDICO EN EEUU:
Muchos me preguntaron cómo “homologar” el título de Argentina en EEUU. En realidad, no es tan simple como homologar. Es un proceso más complejo.
Paso a explicar... (thread)

I voted for McCain and Romney. Neither was ever the stalwart conservative that @RonDeSantis is. He’s a once in a generation candidate. Rs need to stop being dumb if he decides to throw his hat in the ring.

We can say this 1000 times and no one will believe it. And yet, it’s completely true. The government and insurance companies set the amount your doctor gets paid. Doctors have zero say.

CMS:
“We wanna break both of every physician’s legs”.
All physician societies:
“How about you just break one arm”
CMS:
“One leg and one arm”
Societies:
“Great news for all physicians! CMS isn’t going to break both of your legs.”
Rinse and repeat for 20+ years with these worthless organizations.
Physician voices helped influence the final Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and mitigate some of the more significant concerns in the proposed rule. That matters, but meaningful challenges remain.
AAOS will keep pushing for a fair, data-driven reimbursement system that values physician services, preserves physician-led decision-making and protects patient access to care.

Counterpoint: if you could give every child in your town’s schools breakfast and lunch every day, but it required firing two district administrators, would you do it?
They always say this, but inevitably the surgeon who’s slacking away at 3am gets screwed over the most.
24 they/them bi tranny is leaving Florida.
Omg what will we do?! 😨

CMS just finalized the 2027 Medicare conversion factor at $32.63. In 2001 it was $38.26. Adjusted for inflation, that's about a 55% cut. Working harder won't fix that math.
Will all the MAGA ppl just stop for one second, look at the huge failure of the midterms, and see why DeSantis would be a phenomenal candidate for president?
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Gov. Ron DeSantis just BLEW UP and went on an America first RAMPAGE on national TV
"I saw NO INDICATION that Republican senators were interested in doing conservative change! WHY haven't we done immigration, SHUT OFF H1B visas?! WHY haven't we CODIFIED Trump's immigration executive orders?! Why haven't we STRIPPED jurisdiction from the federal courts over deportation cases?! There's SO MANY THINGS we COULD HAVE DONE."
"THEY DIDN'T EVEN ATTEMPT IT."
"They say, 'oh, if only we needed 50 votes we would've done it!' YOU DON'T HAVE 50 VOTES. You NEVER SHOWED you'd do conservative things, even with 50 votes! [RE: filibuster]...I NEVER saw an indication that they'd do it."
"This midterm was a rebuke of the president and Congress...BUT, a LOT of our voters stayed home because they were FRUSTRATED with the LACK of productivity from Republicans in the House and Senate."
A fire was just lit under this man.
Honestly have not seen him get that fired up in a LONG time
We definitely deserved better from our Senate. Now, we need to repair and win in 2028, or Democrats are destroying America!
Clear example of a guy who sounds smart, but is only parroting talking points from the fear-mongering propaganda machine.
If you take just a few minutes to research, you’d quickly realize how much counties have been overspending. It’s been egregious.
Counties can and should stop spending so much.
These types of ppl assume government functions at an optimum level of spending (or are strained!). Nothing can be further from the truth. They’ve seen a huge windfall from increase in property values and instead of giving taxpayers relief, they spent the money.
As the pendulum swings, now we have Amendment 3.
They should’ve given us a break before.
Now they’re forced to.
This is a great example of 2 things: 1. How politicians package things have massive influence. 2. Not understanding 2nd order effects are often as meaningful or more meaningful than 1st order effects.
This law benefits me. I voted against it. It is a power play wrapped as a tax break. Homestead taxes go to local governments, not the state. This law moves money from local budgets to state control. It starves local municipalities of funding, which will force them to bend to the state’s demands to get their share of budget allocated. Police, firefighters, and EMTs are all funded by local taxes and will have lower budgets unless local govs do something to negate the loss. So to offset, counties and municipalities will have to institute local sales taxes to ensure they have the funding necessary to meet their budgets and provide critical services and infrastructure. This law gives the biggest tax breaks to those who own the largest homes and will force the average Floridian to pay higher taxes on everything they buy.
Voting matters. Know what you’re voting for.
Feel free to opt out of your homestead exemption if you’re that concerned.
This won’t happen. But let ppl keep instilling fear.
Word of advice to anyone willing to listen. Vote anyone out who raises your taxes instead of trying to manage their budget better.
